New Journey Transitional Housing Program

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program Description:

Crisis House provides Transitional Housing and comprehensive social services to homeless women with children who are fleeing a  domestic violence situation. Intensive  case management and bio-psycho-social assessment informs the participant's case plan. This program supports women and their children recover and move forward from their trauma 
in a safe and stable home environment. 

Social services include food pantry privileges, clinical counseling, crisis intervention,  support groups, career exploration, employment, education development/assistance, life skill building, conflict  resolution, budgeting,  help with applying for public assistance and referrals 
to other necessary services in the agency such as our food and infant pantry, food stamp enrollment, mobile clinic and services in the community.

 
Eligibility:

Limited to homeless women with children who are fleeing domestic violence (DV). Last DV incidence must be within prior 3 months of  application process. The program goal is to acquire permanent housing and increase income to exit the program successfully. Must be willing to work with the case manager to set and work toward self- sufficiency goals. If you have your own vehicle, you must show proof of current, valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance.

 

Intake: 
Referrals made primarily through the Domestic Violence Shelter Network. A comprehensive screening, assessment and applications process is necessary.
