How You Can Help
Crisis House is a landmark agency in El Cajon and has been providing services to address the needs of the East County Community since 1970. There are many ways you can help support the important work at Crisis House.
Volunteer & Intern Opportunities
Crisis House relies on volunteers and interns to make our services possible. We regularly have positions available in our Emergency and Social Services program and more. If you or your organization would like to partner with Crisis House through volunteerism, please contact Karina at 619-444-9925. For those interested in internship opportunities, please contact Lori at 619-444-3133. Click here for detailed information
Each year, Crisis House distributes in excess of $400,000 worth of goods we receive in donations from individuals, families, diverse congregations, schools, and businesses. Donated goods include food, clothing, back packs, sleeping bags, hygiene packs, diapers and many other items needed by families and individuals in the East County. Please consider hosting a Food, Baby or Hygiene Drive for us.

We rely heavily on the support of individuals, community groups, businesses and diverse congregations to help maintain the important programs we offer to those in need who reside in our region. All financial contributions of any amount are needed and appreciated.
Remember the excitement of waking up on Christmas morning to presents under the tree? Or maybe your fondest holiday memory is sharing a beautiful meal with your family gathered around a festively decorated table. For many of the families we see, the holidays are not a time of joy but a time of sadness and depression because they cannot provide gifts or a warm meal for their children. Each year, Our Lady of Grace Church, schools and businesses in East County partner with Crisis House to adopt needy families. They provide families with toys, clothing, food and other items they cannot afford to purchase themselves. If your family, business, church or organization would like to participate, please contact the Holiday Adopt-a-Family case manager at: 619-444-1194 ext. 312. Read more
